Philosophy: Our goal is to provide the northwest
suburbs with excellence in education and child care. Our enrollment is based on
the acceptance of all children with the understanding that full enjoyment of
the world is based on accepting, appreciating and learning from individuals’
differences. Our program is based on the belief that to educate a child you
must help the child develop all sides: academic, emotional and social. In order
to do this, we employ a high level of communication with all parents so the
child can feel a partnership between his parents and educators.
Curriculum: Infant/toddler program: Offers the
stimulating play and social interaction which will promote growth both
intellectually and emotionally.
Pre-primary
and primary: Begins to introduce children to academics through a class time,
organized group times, art and crafts and other more structured parts of their
day. Sight is not lost of the importance of play in the age group, with
specific times set aside for dramatic and creative play.
Elementary
school: With a strong Montessori base, and Montessori-trained teachers, the
elementary academic program emphasized helping children develop a lifelong love
of learning. Believing in educating the whole child, daily experiences also
emphasize conflict management, cooperative learning, commitment to environment
and the community.
Elementary
extended day: Recognized as an important part of a child’s day, it offers time
for the older child to follow his or her own interests from buring off steam
with physical activities to quiet play with a few friends to some alone time to
snuggle up with a book.

Philosophy: Our mission is to be a school of
excellence! We strive to provide programming that encourages young children to
discover their uniqueness. We strive to promote a family-centered program,
where parents and teachers partner to nurture each child’s potential. We foster
lifelong learners. We aspire to make a difference in each child’s life!
Curriculum: Our 3 year old
program is based on the philosophy, "play with a purpose" , which
allows children to explore their environment through hands-on manipulation,
imagination and creativity. Our four year old and pre-kindergarten (5's)
programs are kindergarten readiness programs encouraging pro-social skills,
early literacy development; phonemic awareness; fine motor development; math
and science exploration and an emphasis on fine arts. Our kindergarten program
offers 2 teachers per 20 students which allows for a small, nurturing
environment rich in one- on -one attention, self-esteem building; and superior
academic programming. We also offer a wide variety of enrichment classes.
Other: St.
Mark's Day School has offered exceptional early childhood education for over 40
years. We have two teachers per classroom, each of whom is very experienced.

Philosophy: We are designed to meet the developmental
and spiritual needs of young children. Our curriculum offers a wide range of
developmentally appropriate activities to enable the child to discover their
creative potential, problem-solve and relate to the world. We believe young
children learn through play by challenging their physical talents, developing
their social skills and exposing them to all the cognitive skills necessary to
be successful in the years ahead.
Curriculum: Our curriculum is designed to prepare the
child for their next educational milestone. Pre-kindergarten skills are
presented in both of the Am and PM Fours programs. Three-year-olds are
introduced to the cognitive skills necessary with emphasis on social/emotional
goals. The two-year-old program introduces a gentle group environment where the
joy of self-discovery begins. Toddlers are embraced with love! We are a
Christian preschool. Our curriculum includes Bible stories and songs. We have
regular visits from St. Michael’s clergy.
We also have a professional music/movement instructor. We acknowledge
the importance of modeling and promoting moral behavior. An important goal for
every child at Little Angels Preschool is to learn to love learning.
